Good news is I almost have everything I need to complete the swap and we are just about to start putting the engine together. Now the bad news....today my 86 gt was making a different noise. Then on the way home from lee's I was sitting at a light and herd a ratteling coming from the engine. When I get home I got out and reved it and the rattle got faster and sounded bad...

Sounds like the car's way of telling you it is ready for the swap.

That's not the club car is it Charlie?

Yes, but it looks that good because it's wet.

eh regardless still looks good :) so i started poking around for where the sound is coming from and today it decided it didnt want to do it but once...but that once i was able to get a broom stick handle and listen around and seems like its coming from the water pump. I probably overreacted when i first herd it thinking the worst but it just seems the water pump is getting a little old so i will hold off until i get the new engine in. And i may need the club car for a little bit soon. We are almost there!!!

I have a mechanic's stethoscope if you'd like to use it. You can pinpoint the source without hearing other interference.

Today I was at lee's and we discoved the water pump pulley is moving and is causing the noise. So water pump is going...just have to either hope it lasts the next month for the swap or pray it goes bad one a weekend. Finns see if I can order a cheap reman pump at work tomorrow and have it either to change asap or just wait till the other kicks out on me.
