Looking for shops to rebuild my 2.8

Hi, I'm new to using the Fiero club website so I apologize if there's already a topic/post for this, but I was wondering if anyone could recommend some shops/people that could rebuild my 2.8 engine? Toward the end of 2020 while on my way home, my radiator blew, so I had it towed home and replaced the radiator, but after that there was a rattling in the engine that my dad and I could hear after revving it up, so I decided to put it in the garage and figure out what it was. Well, I started taking it apart in January of 2021, but then ended up moving up to north Georgia, while my car stayed in the Douglasville area at my parent's house. Then of course life and work just got in the way, and I still don't have anywhere to work on it myself (let alone the time). So, at this point I figure it needs a rebuild, or possibly a new engine, I'm just not sure. So if anyone knows a shop that could look into it and get her up and running again, preferably in the north ga area (Dawsonville, Gainesville, Clarkesville, etc.) I would greatly appreciate the recommendation!

I moved the thread to a section better suited for your purpose.

Contact SpadeCustoms on this forum.  He has one or two good 2.8's that he's pulled for engine upgrades.  Depending upon his workload, he may also be able to install it for you.

Thank you!

There's a Pontiac Grand Prix with a SUPERCHARGED V6 at Encore Recycling.
216,000 miles, $175 for the motor. As of February 21, 2024.

You may come out better by just purchasing another engine.  Take a look at these guys and compare prices to anyone local who says they can rebuild yours.  A 3.1 or 3.4 may be just as cheap as a rebuild of yours.  At your option, you coud just install your heads if thy are good, or have the reconditioned locally.  For a 3.1 or 3.4 you would just need to buy a neutrally balanced flywheel or flexplate.
