What's your opinion on these monsters?
-
Ummmm........... no
-
Would you polish them to a bright finish? or maybe a gloss black and polish on every other spoke
-
Neither. My wife made me put them back on her car :(
-
The Smart Car? :)

8) get a load of THESE MONSTERS!
Stock vw circa 2003 Santa Monica's 17" Whatcha think?
I went against my best judgment in lieu of wagon wheels, but I think it paid off.
Opinions? (It's too late though. They're already on the car :) )
-
I kind of like them. Details? Size/width/offset?
Car needs to be lowered a bit, to make them look "just right", though.
Edit - VW wheels generally have the "ideal" specs for a Fiero.
-
+38 offset.
225/40r17
I think 7" width.
There's a lot of conflicting info online about this wheel. I'm trying to find center caps for them that don't say vw.
-
Put the VW caps on and install these on top of them.

I wish i could, but there's not a cap to be found. I might have to use a sink stopper.
-
Don used some plastic caps from spray paint cans in a set of wheels, once. They fit just perfectly.

Perfect. (I usually tell people "+35" offset, but there's not a nickel's worth of difference, really.)
-
They feel good driving. They don't catch ridges or ruts, so the offset must be good enough for government work.
-
Thanks Charlie for the spray can lid suggestion. I'm going to play around with different things. I saw one pic online of a soda can top being used. It looked different.
-
I believe it was on the set of Pacer wheels I have. The flare on the cap keeps it from coming out of the wheel. Other than being a throw-away item from old spray cans, they come in all kinds of neon colors.

Looks great! My first fiero was silver, so I am biased anyway. I have bonneville ssei mesh 16x7 on the back with the stock 15x7 mesh on the front. Not perfect but it works (mix-match BCs). 225-60-16 seems the perfect od for my fender gap.
