Title: Message regarding the government shutdown
Post by: TopNotch on January 20, 2018, 10:14:31 am
From Cowspatoot on Facebook...

"My public service announcement regarding the government shutdown:

There are certain roads in the US that are under federal jurisdiction...such as the Blue Ridge Parkway. Since the Park Rangers that patrol these roads will be shut down, it means (in theory) there is nobody patrolling those roads, and you can get away with turning these roads into your own personal race track.

That said...through past experience, I strongly recommend that you don't try to take advantage of this."

Hard to reply to this without talking about P-O-L-I-T-I-C-S.

Be that as it may, my greatest fear on the road is what other drivers may do.  I don't know about the BRP, the Tail of the Dragon has had a lot of fatalities and severe injuries that were caused by other people.

I've been driving for about 8 hours, and was tailgated for a while by a tractor-trailer.  I was worried that he'd smash me into the truck in front of me and destroy my tail lights.
