Just make sure you get a made in U.S.A. windshield. I think PPG still makes them. China made windshields have caused a LOT of problems, such as the mirror falling off within 24 hours taking some of the glass with it.

Call Safelite glass. They'll come to you, do the replacement with quality glass, for $250 or less. They did one of my Fieros. The only problem was that the guy who came didn't know Fieros, so he had to call their "old car" expert to help. The young guy didn't know how to take off the windshield wipers.

Ditto on PPG.

Thanks All; Hey no worries Don I forgot to ask too. I knew you would post it in due time ;)
I am knee deep in the front suspension right now, It started to pull to the left, and I took it to get the ailignment from my Lifetime Alignment with Tires Plus, and They showed me a loose upper ball joint (LH), and a loose LH lower bushing as well as a Blown RH shock. so I bought the Sensa Track Monroe for the front, and tore apart the front end.
Now to derail my own post>>>>
I got everything apart up to the Ball joints out of the knuckle. They wont pop. Good thing though since I had both nuts all the way off while I was trying the socket, washer, nut and bolt trick. which I am thankful it didnt work; well atleast on the lower arm.
I sprayed penetrate on them and let them sit, I ordered the tool from Rodneys since I am taking the lower control arm off and replacing the upper ball joint.
cant wait until I can work on it again.

Just start the nuts back on halfway, & wrap the sides of the control arm where the ball joints go through with a big hammer. Pops them out every time.

I set the socket up last night with a new bolt and nut and got pretty good tension on it and hit it with a 3lbs sledge hammer with no luck. after about 15 minutes I sprayed more PB on it and am letting them sit. I am waiting for the Rodney tool.
i may go stare at them and see if that pops them out.
waiting on UPS when I have time to work on it now is no fun - Just saying.

Keep hitting. Doesn't need tension, just the original nut halfway on to keep it from popping all the way out. I've done this hundreds of times - always works.

Just wondering. ????? Sometimes there's a little tack weld around the perimeter in several spots. Have you cleaned around the perimeter of the ball joint to see if there's a weld?
-
Because the previous owner said he has changed them I honestly didnt look.
Are they sometimes tack welded on the front Ball joints too? On thread side or the control arm side?
Tools are here and the remaining parts are due in tomorrow. Im off for the weekend so I should get it all done by tomorrow. Hopefully I will get it all tegether and Alignment complete Friday so i can come out to the diner Saturday.
Thanks for the info.

I guess it could be done on either top or bottom, but it would probably be more likely to be on the top of the control arm. Easier to get to. If the Fiero isn't ready, come on down in the Maserati.
