A reminder for those who've not participated before, that our White Elephant Christmas Gift can be a useful gift, or a gag gift.  We've normally set a price limit of $20-$25.

Do not put any names on your wrapped White Elephant Gift.

Tomorrow (Friday, Dec. 13) I'm going in for out-patient surgery to remove a couple of kidney stones; so, unfortunately, I won't be able to attend our annual Christmas lunch this Saturday.

I have, however, selected two very special Christmas angels, Tinkerbell & Redraif, to bring my Toys for Tots gifts and white elephant gift for the club exchange so that I can participate in spirit.

This will be the first Christmas luncheon I will have missed since I joined three years ago :-(

Just wanted to thank you all and wish each and every one of you and yours a wonderful Christmas, and a safe, healthy and happy new year -- see you in 2014!

Yo T-Dog,

Keep the sunny side up! We will miss you but wish you a fast and painless recovery.
We'll keep an eye out for the 'tennis balls' on eBay!

Merry Christmas my friend!
-and to Nancy too!

Fo Shizzel,

Thanks, gals n guys...  the procedure went very smoothly.  Some lower back pain still where they put the sonic-blaster gun up against my kidney to but up those 'golf balls.'  Biggest thing seemed to be that whatever anesthetic they gave me really kicked my tail and gave me stomach aches all weekend.

But, I'm back up walking around testing my sea legs and preparing myself to suck it up and go back to work tomorrow.  ;- )  Absolutely no pain from the kidney stones, so that's the best thing.

Hope everyone had a fun time at the Christmas party, and that whoever chose my white elephant gift will get a lot of use out of that diamond and ruby-encrusted Fiero emblem that I sent along with Redraif and Tinkerbell!  ;- )

Best,

FGTB

Glad it went well, Bud.  I'm sure the pain you're going through now is minor compared to the conventional way of getting rid of kidney stones.

If you don't eat fruit cake, just take it to work and use it for a paper weight.  Then when you come out to have me do that 3800SC upgrade in your Mera, I'll take it in full payment.
