hey fierofool (or anyone), a friend and I am going to pull a part tomorrow and check out the 3 fiero's that are showing on inventory, and maybe some others. not sure on what time yet, waiting to here if he still going. if you wanna come or meet us or need something, let me know.
-
I guess you're talking about the North Yard? There isn't much left of them. There's an 84, 85, and 86. The 85GT may still have a starter and alternator with alternator bracket on it. The engine's been stripped. But, if you don't want them and can get the valve covers off it, I'd take them. It had a 4-speed tranny and cables in it, last I saw. The shifter's gone, but I think the 84 still has the 4-speed shifter.
I've got fuel pump issues with my car and I need to get that resolved. Can't make the trip with you.
-
i'll see what i can do. i'm was gonna check out some of the interior parts, and a couple other odds and ends
-
Did you find any goodies at pullapart?
-
the trip wasn't too sucessful, for me anyway. i found a radio bezel that was in ok shape. the bolt holes were not broke, but it needs to be painted. and I found some vents, some of mine are broke.but that's about it
charlie, the 2.8l no longer had the valve covers on it.
i was hoping to find a diamond in the ruff in the form of good engine (fat chance i know), found some potenial but no luck.
-
Yeah, that 85 had 171,000 on it. You said you were looking for some interior parts. What do you need? I have a couple of consoles, a radio surround, a couple of radio face plates, A and B pillar trim and the right side lower sill trim.
-
Someone on Pennock's said one of the cars is a t-top car. How much, if any, of the t-top parts are left. Anything would be valuable -- little plastic pieces or whatever.
-
the actual t-tops are gone, the seals are there though. didn't realy pay that area of the car much attention since my car has a sunroof
-
has anyone got done look at the 85 fiero at pull-a-part north? it was just put in the lot on the 13th. i'll going in the A.M. to check it out
-
If it's a manual and the shift surround isn't separated and buckled and the radioi surround isn't separated and buckled, I'll take them if you don't need them. If it has power mirrors, I'll take the right one.
-
I was at the PAP lot on Buford Hwy Weds the 12th....didn't see any Fiero remains...just my luck one pops in the next day ! North lot is the one on Buford Hwy, right ?
Rat Pee 86
-
yup, i'll be leaving with in an hour so to go check it out. i also need other stuff that from another car
-
so the fiero in the lot is a red(repainted from what i can tell) 2m4 manual, tilt and a/c. unfortunately, for me, that means there was not much I could use. i did take the radiator overflow tank 'cause mine has a broken tab. the car is in pretty good shape. i forgot bring my digitl, but had my cell phone, on to the pics:
all the body panel are straight and good shape except the front bumper. it looked warped. the quarter windows were cracked. if that GTA sitting beside it had all 4 wheels i would have walked with them

missing all the reflectors

the headlights in the up position is a pretty good indication that the motors are shot. and they wouldn't go down manualy

all 4 wheels are there and look ok, i took the intake grill hardware(lost mine)

all the interior pieces that are there are ok. it's missing a passenger seat, console, and ecu. i thought about taking the dash, it's all black and mine is 2tone

the headliner looks good, sagging just above driver and passenger heads though. i tried to get the map light housing but i didn't have my star bits

door panels are decent, that's the trunk carpet in the seat location. has gonna take the trunk carpet, but mine has the blower

i've never seen this before

the engine is missing some stuff

77056.6 on the clock

gas tank is gone

oil pan is damaged

a couple pictures of the VIN. the 1st character is "G" the last one is "1" or "I"

here is some the other stuff i thought were pic worthy:

what are these seats from? look alot like fiero seats

here is the answer: cutlas Calais 500
not a sticker, very detailed paint job. i wasn't surprised to see a lift kit on it
-
i came home with a overflow tank, some random hardware, a horn from a ford ranger( for my father-in-law) and this:

it's a mirror from a 92 roadmaster. any know what that cylinder is for???
-
oh yeah, if you need to open the trunk on that fiero, you will need a long flat screwdriver. the lock has been pulled
-
here is some the other stuff i thought were pic worthy:

What kind of car is this?
For a minute it looked like the usual GM DOHC V6, and then I did a double take.
Now I can't even say for sure that it's a GM, although that loose connector looks like GM. Sorta.
-
not sure, it was in the gm section though.
oh yeah, pull-a-part is a cash for clunkers junkyard. so they had some newer there, you just take the block, cylinders, and i think the frame. the newest car i saw was a 2000 explorer
-
just curious, i love to go to the pull-a-parts and i was wondering if maybe we go on a pull-a-part run some time in between meeting dates. drive the fiero's ,line up 2 or 3 or 4 yards to visit(need to check ahead to make sure they have some fiero's) if we could the distances reasonable between yards. we could stop somewhere and have some lunch and continue on. might be something different to try if anyones interested. maybe someone would volunteer to drive a pick-up in case of bigger parts. oldone in c'ville
-
there is another 85 fiero in the north lot. it's in the Cash 4 Clunkers lot
-
After checking the pull a part site it looks like a C4C Fiero just hit the yard on the 19'th.
-
It would have to be a V6 automatic, because that's the only kind of Fiero that qualifies for CFC. The drive train won't be available. But you know, for example, that the shift surround will be for an automatic.
-
I'm going to go check it out. Hopefully I'll snap a few photos and post them later today.
If anyone sees this and is looking for a specific part feel free to call me at six seveneight six fourtwo two zero-nine six.
-
I did not get a chance to bring my camera but the C4C fiero looks to be in much better condition and is much more complete than the 2m4 posted previously. It is an 86 GT.
The air filter canister/top/baseplate look flawless and show no signs of rust at all. If I recall correctly the drivers side sail panel was actually in pretty good condition with only very minor cracking.
TopNotch, If you're still looking for white map pockets this one has ones without stains or smudges.
-
How about the condition of the whole interior door panels? And did it have power windows? Charlie was looking for some.
-
Dont remember if it had power windows or not. I dont think the drivers side door panel would be usable. The other fiero on the junkyard had better ones.
-
BAH! no cash and no time free to go take a look. maybe it will there long enough for my to go look at it. DIBS on the EGR hose, if it aint cracked LOL. i need to get back down there now that i have the taurus. she is in need of some junkyad parts as well
-
And did it have power windows? Charlie was looking for some.
I meant to say, "power rear view mirrors". Did it have those?
-
Nope, it had manual.
The linkage to adjust the mirrors with the knob on the interior was functional but the glass had come loose on them.
-
Andy, the EGR hose was gone and so was the upper intake, EGR valve and solenoid, distributor, fuel rail and injectors and the headlights. Someone disassembled the headlights and left the motors and mounts, but got the rest. They could have gotten all of it for the same price. Spare tire has never been on the ground.
Car only had 103,000 miles with none of the factory recalls done. Ray and I went down to check out the Fiat for Alfa Seltzer and a few other cars, and when we got back, the instrument panel was gone.
See my post in Jam Cliche' 's post W'rectum for more info.
Seth, I'll call you about the Fiat.
-
It probably has the weather strip on the rear deck, if the recalls weren't done. Somebody should get that.

Went there--Got that! It was in great condition. Got the AC/Fuel pump relays and some little trinket items. Was going to pull the front rotors and good brake lines but I didn't have a drill to drill out the rivets on the brake line.
The car did have power windows, but at least the drivers side switch was cracked. The windows themselves looked good with no scratches. The drivers door panel was in bad condition up around the area of the manual mirror control. Pat, the door pockets were good, but they're the dove gray vinyl. I believe I have a complete pair of GT panels with the cloth pockets and emblems for a car with power mirrors.
If anyone has one, I need the right side black power mirror only. I'd be glad to barter some other Fiero parts. What u need?
-
When I took a look at it the only thing missing was the shift knob and steering wheel.
