Many Fiero-ites have increased the size of their wheels/tires.
Do you still have the original 14" or 15" spare up front, thinking that's better than nothing; or have you replaced it with a can of fix-a-flat?
Fix-a-flat makes it extremely difficult to get a good repair on a puncture. I never have a tire plugged because the rasp that's used to clean the puncture can cut the steel cords. I prefer to pay a little more and have the tire patched on the inside.

I still have the space saver in both of mine. I have 40 and 45 series 17-inch wheels on my 86 and I upped one size front and rear on the 87. They will fit into the trunk, depending upon what else might be in there. Usually, what's there is small enough that it can be transferred to the front to make room for a standard size flat tire.
