For years, people have told me that I have no personality. I never thought much of it. Recently, I heard this applied to someone else. Again, I never thought anything of it. Today, I met that other person. Apparently, someone saying that you have no personality is not a compliment. Judging by the other person, it means that the lights are on, but no one is home.
The employee who had applied the descriptor was advised to discontinue use of said descriptor, but this brought up some interesting topics.
I like butter, but not on...just about anything. Just in cooking and on corn.
I like tomatoes, but not in soup. Only red tomatoes.
I like apples, but not in casserole.
I like Sci-Fi, but have never seen Lord of the Rings.
There were many more. Apparently, people have lists, and try to catch me in contradictions.
Apparently, these are contradictions others see as character flaws. Who knew? Apparently, not getting in the middle of every argument, and not expressing opinions on things over which you have no control gets you this descriptor.
Now you know.

No fried green tomatoes?

Lord of the Rings is fantasy, not sci-fi. I read the books when I was in the Navy. (I read a lot while I was at sea.) So I watched the movies when they came out. The books are better.

Nope. No fried green tomatoes. Watched the movie, though.
Ah. Usually don't watch fantasy. Probably part of the no personality thing.
I did read a great set of books when I was a kid. There were 11 books in the set. Something about a boy with a bunch of powers growing up. Lots of magic. A caldron, and struggles.
