I realize this is not a GFC-hosted event. Regardless, anyone planning on attending?
-
Unless something happens, I attend every year.
-
Stuff happens. Every day.

From the GTA web site,
Time to start planning for the GTA’s 20th annual Polar Bear Run. This year join us on a challenging drive to Cloudland Canyon State Park located in Northwestern Georgia with the kick off from Dawsonville’s Atlanta Motorsport Park. Set aside Saturday, December 28, 2019 (alternative date January 4, 2020) with a 9:30 am departure. More details to follow.
-
Anyone else planning to attend? Richard Chen said he'd come along.
-
Will this be Richard's first time on this event?
-
I Might be able to. Won't know till after the weekend though.
-
Added to the calendar.
-
Will this be Richard's first time on this event?
I think this will be Richard's first time at any function other than meetings and workshops on meeting days. He will be riding with me and not driving, but at least he will be there.
-
Participating is participating, whether riding or driving.

From the https://gatriumph.com/ site.
PDF flyer (http://gafieroclub.org/pics/pip/tshark/GTA-Polar-Bear-Run-Flyer-Dec2019-Proof1.pdf)
Coming up on Saturday.
-
Richard called and said his boss scheduled him to work Saturday because of the Christmas Holiday.
Please check the start time on the PDF Flyer. It's starting earlier this year than what I remember in past years. Maybe due to the distance. They suggest being there at 8:00.
-
I guess I could do better:

Too bad Richard won't be able to make it.
-
I was really hoping to do this one. Sadly I won't have the car ready by any stretch.
-
Want to ride along with me? Richard isn't going so I've got a vacancy.
I was just looking at a possible route for the Polar Bear Run. I suspect they may just use Ga. Hwy 136 all the way to Cloudland Canyon. If they do, it will be a nice uncluttered ride, staying out of the larger towns.
-
Simce my car wasn't going to be ready I didn't take the time off work or I would have loved to.
-
GTA says that there are various dining venues in the area of Cloudland Canyon, so I'm guessing they don't have a pareticular restaurant arranged. I've looked at several of them and they are very small.
There is one restaurant that's a few miles before Cloudland Canyon and could be one we could stop at if no one wants to go all the way t the canyon, or we could stop on the way back. Trading Post Smokehouse BBQ on Hwy 136.
-
The call of the BBQ. Yum.
-
Don't forget. Tomorrow.
-
Not going to make it...... a little home project has morphed in to something much bigger.
-
Pictures?
-
There are no pictures. I was the only one going and I wasn't going to do it alone.
-
That's very sad.
-
I am sorry I wasn't able to make this happen this year. Really sorry it meant you didn't go too

Some years ago, a bunch of Fiero people were supposed to show up for a fall color tour. I had the only Fiero. Not one single other Fiero person showed up. Another time, we were supposed to meet up for a BBQ. Nothing happened. Later, it was a trip to the Museum of Transportation. No one else showed. After a while, it isn't worth being the only person to show up.
