He said that the Fiero engine runs on the rich side, and the engine tends to fall off at around 4500 RPM so he added the extra throttle body.  He made the pull cable adjustable so that he could get it to cut in at the time he wanted, instead of working full time.  Works similar to the old progressive linkage of the multiple carburetor setups of the pre-fuel injection era.  The computer would also make some corrections to richen the mixture if the engine leaned out too much.  He said there was a noticeable improvement in performance.  I believe he said that his theory was that the extra throttle body position had less restriction since it was more centrally located over the intake runners.

HMM, I wonder if some Briggs Stratton or motorcycle throttle bodies would work if you mounted one on each runner and blocked of the factory throttle body?
