going to sell the 4 speed out of the 86 parts car $150.00
-
Anyone?
-
Hey Scott,
Would you happen to have a spare shifter and cables to go with it (I think they are different than the 5 speed)?
-
I have a couple of shifters from my 85's.
-
Charlie, Thanks! Let me know what you want for it.
Scott, I'll take it. It's going to be a spare so I'm in no rush to pick it up. Let me know what's convenient.
-
You're wanting a 4-speed shifter, right? Come to the Sept. meeting or Caffeine and Octane and I'll bring it. No charge.
-
Its still attached to the engine on the cradle.... the September meeting is going to be at my place, come on down
-
Charlie, Thank you. I am planning on attending Caffeine and Octane. I will see you there.
Scott, I'm scheduled to be at Road Atlanta on the 12th if testing on the car continues to go well. If testing goes south and I have to cancel, I'll be at the meeting.

It ain't going anywhere, I will put it in a corner
-
Thanks Scott!
-
Mike, out of curiosity, will you be rebuilding this transmission, or using as-is?
-
I'll put it in storage until I need it. If i do need it, it's going to Southern Gear for a tear down, inspection, and refresh before I install it.
-
I take it you have had good experiences with them?
-
I did a lot of searching on the web and a couple of trackday/racing sites and their name popped up a few times with good reviews. Seeing as they are located in Marietta, I gave them a try. I've got 50 miles on my transmission so time will tell.
-
They were good to us for the 5 speed in our srt4. Ask around its really the only place to go for standards.
-
Lots of transmission shops here. Very concerning that I know more about transmissions than they do, because transmissions aren't my thing. It's a mystery to me what they do, because they don't seem to work on transmissions in just sbout anything.
Good to know there are places that work on transmissions.
