Edit review here

Packing was meticulous

-
It comes in four pieces, this is the rear section closest to the computer.

-
SECOND SECTION

-
THIRD SECTION

-
Radio section. Notice the brass threadlets and comes with new screws.

Here is the 3D unit (not assembled) compared to the original. (Thank you Roger the Jolly for giving me one that in is one piece)

Looks very good and sturdy. I do see one minor difference that could be an issue. To prevent the radio mounting holes from receiving a lot of stress from the weight of the radio, there was a metal bracket with a hole on the back edge of the front section. It's missing in your photo with the original skeleton. It is normally located where the area is broken out. This support the back of the radio via a small rubber nipple on the back of the radio. That support nipple usually isn't present on aftermarket radios, and sometimes the metal support has to be removed in order to accommodate a slightly deeper radio housing. I do think that making provisions for bolting that metal bracket in place would be a good feature.

I plan on creating a custom bracket for mine but I got a very lightweight Bluetooth receiver and not a full radio. He said too many complained about the bracket location so best to let each do their own.

Certaimly something of which to be aware.

This image is a little concerning. Maybe the temp was too low.
-
Yeah the whole thing could have be printed at a higher temp but it’s very solid.
-
It's hard. I had that issue with my 3D printers.
-
That reminds me. I’m not going to have it done by Saturday. Work and life are getting in the way of my car again. 😂 will have to be a December write up. I just wanted to get the photos up today since I was actually in front of a computer.
-
I can wait a bit longer, maybe a day or two, but then I get in a bind.
-
Wednesday I go out of town and come back Monday... so yeah time just got stolen from me.
-
Ok. Well, if you get it written up, send it over, and I'll fit it in somewhere.
