Post by: Wreck It Ralph on November 26, 2020, 10:33:51 pm
Has anyone ever done lambo doors on their Fiero? I got a set stupid cheap (I couldn’t resist) but worried about doing it.

Done it?  No.  Had to help fix a set.  The hinges were not done correctly.  Follow the instructions.  Make sure the hydraullic struts are good.  Do the first several door open/close combos with a lift handy.

Watched an install video once. Looks like a lot of work.  He had to trim the front fenders which looked kind of odd when finished.  Might be a good excuse to do a wide body at the same time.   Each kit is probably different, not sure which one I hsppened to stumble upon.

Who sells a wide body kit? And for the notchback?

The best lambo door kits mount using the stock hinge locations, and do not require fender trimming.

It was the Vertical Door brand ones.

Just so the fender body panels do not have to be cut.  I have seen varying shock setups.

I should have taken pics of the setups at some of the shows.  The one I worked on was sortof an emergency job.
