Tonight at my Marietta hotel I was staying over to do some early task in the morning. At 2330 someone started doing doughnuts in the parking lot. When I went to ask them to leave while another employee was calling the cops I was attacked. One tooth knocked loose and wrist is either sprained or fractured/broken. I had emergency dental surgery and they think the tooth will make it. Tomorrow or I guess by now later today I will get the arm x-rayed. At this time I don’t need anything. Just know I’ll be slow to respond over the next few days.

Any cameras available to get license plate numbers? Maybe businesses nearby?
They must have felt you were dissing them.
If your wrist is broken, hope it was from a well-landed punch.

The small photo is from the only video feed remotely close. I thought The other employee was getting plate numbers but nope.
Thankfully the X-ray showed the tooth was not broken and he .... yanked it back into place. It hurt as much as you think it did.
I’m not sure what they felt but I know what I felt.
He jumped me as my back was turned. Real man there. I think I punched him because the video shows his two friends picking him off the floor.

All broken. The owners and I had a chat about that today. They will be fixed by next Friday. Plus he is going to allow me to conceal carry at work if I go get my permit.

About 12 years ago, I had someone hit me in the face with a metal contraption, like a grid. My lower teeth (3) went through my bottom lip. Those three teeth were damaged. My lower gum was a mess. In retrospect, I probably should have gone to the doctor, but did not. I worked over my lip. My gum healed, sortof. The teeth are still not right. My lip was visibly healed, a year later, but I still feel lumps in it. Not a fun process.

Yes, concealed is best, but training is also good.
I am not sure how having had a gun would have changed this particular outcome, however. You would have had jo rwason to draw, before the attack. Per you, he jumped on your back, and you did not realize a threat prior to the attack. In the video, it appears that you were facing him, but the angle is bad. After the attack, he did not continue. The likelihood of safely utilizing a gun would have been minimal.

I have a lot of training. Just never got my permit.
This isn’t the first incident like this to happen at one of properties so being able to carry would potentially help. If I had it last night it may not have escalated or might have escalated worse.
Don’t know but being able to makes me feel better.

Yes. Once his hands are on you, it's really too late. He can prevent you from drawing, or take your gun, or turn it on you. Even had you had a gun, once you showed it, he would have waited.
Ultumately, distance and a watchful eye are the best deterrent for this. No opportunity.

Nope. 😂 Tooth will take 6-8 weeks to stabilize and 6-8 months till it’s 100%.
The wrist is mostly better.
Not sure if my pride will ever recover.
