Title: IAC Socket Tool
Post by: Fierofool on May 13, 2021, 04:41:38 pm
Does anyone have the special socket needed to change out the IAC on a V6?

Um, yes, but it's a bit of a drive.

I have gotten mine off with channel locks, but you may have something in the way.

I changed one a couple of decades ago and I think I used channel locks.  I have a small pair that gives me better swing than the larger pair, but the throttle body coolant lines are really in the way of anything.

I'll just order one from Rodney.

So, now, I have an IAC socket for loan.
