Title: Alternator Adjustment Bolt
Post by: Fierofool on July 27, 2021, 10:45:40 pm
I need the bolt that adjusts and holds tension on the alternator.  The P22 says it's a M8 x 1.25.  The M8 is too small and the M10 is too large.  I checked a 5/16 and its too small and a 3/8 is too large.

Anyone have a bolt they can confirm fits?

If I can find the one from my parts car, you can have it. But right now, I don't know where it is.

The bad alternator I just removed had been helicoiled for an 8m.  The alternator that was originally on the car before the motor swap is the one I put back on, but I don't have the proper bolt.  I tried coarse and fine pitch threads in both metric and SAE and nothing worked.
The bolt needed is a flange head bolt.
