Title: Headliner glue suggestions
Post by: pgackerman on October 18, 2021, 09:56:59 am

Where my headliner meets the rear window is coming loose and starting to hang down.

I'd like to glue it back up.  Any suggestions on which adhesive to use?

BTW, sunroof car with 3rd brake light.

I don't know the answer but would also be interested to know.

Spray contact cement will work, but NOT latex-based contact cement. That will bleed through and spot the cloth (been there, done that). Try to find a high-temp contact cement.

If it's just the cloth coming loose, it's possible that any adhesive will come through.  If the rubber backing is coming loose from the headliner shell, you can use regular headliner spray adhesive.

Headliner material is relatively cheap.  I bought enough at Hobby Lobby for less than $20.
