Well, last year I thought I had fixed the AC in my 88 duke when put a re-manned AC compressor in it. And it worked for a little while. But there was something wrong with the clutch -- it just wouldn't engage some times, even though it was getting electricity. So this year, I put a new (not re-manned) compressor in it. It's working fine. So now I have the old compressor, which is good, but the clutch is bad. I also have the original compressor, which is frozen, but the clutch is good. I looked in the Helms manual to see what was involved in replacing the clutch on a V5 AC compressor and it seemed like way too much hassle. So I'm offering both for free, if anyone wants to try to make a good one out of the two.

If no one takes them, hang onto them for the Little Duke Coupe. I don't know if the compressor on it is good or not. Since it has aftermarket air on it, the compressor might not even be the same.

The stock 87-88 Duke compressor has two pressure switches on the compressor itself, and there is no pressure switch on the accumulator/dryer, like there is on V6 systems.
