Title: July 2011 Meeting
Post by: Donster on July 06, 2011, 04:38:18 pm
Are we having another tech-session at the next meeting?

I'm always eager to learn and appreciate everything I take away from those kind of things!

The way you've been repairing your two and your new project, you may be able to teach us a thing or two. :)

Obviously, you're so helpful by nature, you don't even notice it anymore when you do it.  ;D

Admirable

New MAP sensor resolved the bad idle issue
WD40 in abundance into the throttle cable plus some silicon, cleaned both springs - no more delay from the gas pedal

\D = a happy camper

Be careful when using silicone products in the engine bay.  Silicone ingested into the engine can kill a catalytic converter.  That's why RTV has been reformulated to eliminate silicone.

I made sure it only went into the cable, while Anne was pumping the pedal ferociously

I also wiped off all WD40 and silicon overspray, but thnx
