There will be a total eclipse of the Sun on August 21, 2017, which will pass over North Georgia. The totality over North Georgia will occur at about 2:30 in the afternoon, EDT. Wouldn't it be cool to be doing a trial run on that day?

That's a Monday. Sorry, gotta work. Would be cool tho!

Darned. Just saw this. I'm really in bad shape. Two Days Late and Two Dollars Short.

No, you're fine. It's next year.

Well, that fixes 1 problem but I'm still $2 short. Looks like Clayton Ga. to Franklin NC would be best for viewing, locally.

We have our special viewing glasses, and the viewing location. Small preview the last few days. I think we'll have to consider an alternate location, due to expected crowds.
Kindof cool, if you haven't seen this before. I saw an eclipse twice when I was young, then a partial eclipse in the early 90's, then another partial eclipse a few years ago, but this will be the first time my kids will get to see an eclipse.
