General Discussion / Resignation
« on: August 16, 2020, 10:39:03 pm »
I am having to resign my membership along with my other positions in the Georgia Fiero Club. I wish I could post details as to why but won't at this point.

It was a fun ride. Thanks Michael MacDonell

General Discussion / I was kicked off
« on: August 16, 2020, 08:33:30 pm »
Has anyone else had any issues with trying to log in and finding you are no longer registered on the Forum here? I tried to log in yesterday and found I didn't exist! I had to re register which it let me do under my original user name. There is a very slight possibility that a bot did it, but I don't see how that would work.

I wonder if this car was going to one of the Elliott's in Dawsonville?

A new link for Georgia Fiero Club on Facebook. I deleted yesterdays version to make it a stand alone page that all club officers have access to.

General Fiero Discussion / Does anyone recognize these scoops?
« on: May 20, 2020, 12:05:30 am »
These are the 1/4 panel scoops on Topnotch's 3800 car. Does anyone recognize the make or the supplier?

The pictures just don't do the car justice! I love a Fiero in white.

The Market / Hood Scoop
« on: May 19, 2020, 11:48:47 pm »
I have the hood scoop that was on the Kermit car. It looks to be one of Paul's original "Angel Vent" hood scoops.  $50.00
The hood has been modified at the windshield end and won't fit a stock car. I can cut the upper skin that the scoop is bonded to and you'll have just the scoop.

Look under "Front Hoods and Hood Vents" on Paul's page for more pics.

Club Events / May Club Meeting
« on: April 23, 2020, 02:01:11 am »
May is rolling right around the corner. Our meeting date would be May 9th which is 16 days away. Assuming the Duluth Diner is back open then, are we wanting to gather under the circumstances? Feedback is appreciated.

I was curious if anyone had a shortcut or advice on removing a clutch pedal assembly and installing in a car that was an automatic trans from the factory. I have a factory service manual for an '88 put it really doesn't have much info. The dashboard is out completely so maybe I won't have to lay on my back too much. Its coming out of an '87 model going into an '88.

Are the brake and clutch pedal on the same bracket?

Expert Tech Advice / Aerodonamic car has glowing manifolds
« on: March 18, 2020, 10:58:45 pm »
I cranked up the Aerodonamic car right around sundown to let it run for a while to keep the battery up. I let it run about 5 minutes and when I walked around and checked the engine the exhaust manifolds were a glowin. I've heard of it but never seen it in person. With the little bit of light available they really stood out! I have read on the boards that manifolds glowing in low light isn't unusual but it sure startled me. I need to see if I'm running lean.

If you are nor familiar with the car:

General Discussion / Coronavirus
« on: March 12, 2020, 12:01:53 pm »
How about a serious discussion on the virus. I do believe that the press may be blowing it out of proportion. We've all seen the comparisons to the other viruses and the memes with numbers. When the NBA called off games for the foreseeable future and the NCAA announced the Final Four would be played without spectators I reconsidered whether this was more serious than I first thought. The economic impact to Atlanta over the Final Four is 100 million dollars. Canceling these games and festivals is costing millions in lost revenue. Not all of these entities are in cahoots to make Trump look bad.

General Discussion / Allstate Insurance
« on: February 11, 2020, 11:59:17 am »
Does anyone have Allstate Insurance? I'm looking to insure my house and cars. There are half what I'm paying now for the Homeowners policy and about the same on the cars with Geico. I've heard some bad things about getting claims paid. There have been 2 news stories on WSB TV just in the last few months. Thanks

Expert Tech Advice / Engine wiring harness differences

Can a 4 cylinder engine harness be adapted to a V6 relatively easily? Maybe extending a few wires or totally different?

The Market / 1987 Fiero at Grey & White U Pull It
« on: February 04, 2020, 07:12:20 pm »
Grey & White U Pull It sent me notification they have an 87' on the lot. Put on the yard 2/3/20

I believe that makes it a 4 cylinder. Website has been down for about a week so I was surprised the notification process worked.
