Can anyone tell me where I can get the transparent light covers for the overhead (dome-light) lights. The tabs on the 4 inserts always seem to break off.

Tech Tips, Tech Questions / Driver's side light won't open completely!

With the hood open (less resistance) the light comes up all the way.Hood closed, it comes up about 2 cm, then stalls. Time for a new motor?88, 2nd gen lights. Or is there an adjustment?

Tech Tips, Tech Questions / Need To Know: Headlight Electrical Issue

Hi all,
Issue has me stumped. Headlights on our 88 were re-wired by previous owner, so the lights would come up, even if only the right side of the light-switch (Running Light) is pushed. In other words, it is not possible to turn on ONLY the running lights, the main headlights come on, no matter if I push the left or right side of the switch.So where might I find the modification/re-wiring the PO did? I hope it's not directly at the control-module, as I know that thing is inside the left front inner fender and a hassle to get to.
So, anyone have an idea?

General Fiero Discussion / ICE COLD!!! YEAH!!

I, myself, without much help from anyone............replaced the original 32 year old A/C compressor, dryer, all hoses............and it actually works! Fan starts and everything . I won't even mention the bolts that DID NOT want to come out.
This now means that EVERYTHING on and in the Pearl works.Even the extras that I have added, i.e. key-less entry, remote hood release, rear mirror with temp. and compass, V6 AUX, to include the V6 tach.
Leather headliner and sun visors going in this week.
I am certainly Anne's hero! LOL

The Market / WTB: Window crank retainer clip

While taking one of my doors apart, the spring-like clip in the window handle jumped away and for life of me I cannot find it.I was thinking about drilling and cutting threads in the center of the drive and running a screw through the handle to fasten it that way but decided against it.So, does anybody have any of the retainer clips, or perhaps even complete handles with the clips, I'll take them off your hands.

Tech Tips, Tech Questions / Best way to find a power drain

We seem to have a slight power drain on the Fiero. We leave it set over night and the next day the battery doesn't have enough power to start the car. Interior light are bright, trunk pops no problem, head light come on no problem, so I'm assuming it is only a slight drain. Funny thing is, the radio looses all presets. Could the stereo be somewhat the source. What is the best way to find the drain?Help!
