Club Events / Re: July 8 2023 Club Meeting
« on: July 07, 2023, 11:36:09 pm »
Unless someone gives me a ride, I can't go to the meeting. All 3 of my cars have problems. My SUV won't go into reverse, the clutch is leaking on my yellow Fiero, and I think the ignition module is going bad on my white Fiero. I was going home from the store in it the other day and it died and wouldn't start (no codes), but I was able to coast home. After it cooled, it ran again. This is the 3800 car (coil packs, and ignition module under the coils). I don't to risk it dying on the interstate.

I think that's what Pat has on his yellow coupe.  They look very good.
I have RW covers on both my Fieros.

Club News / The Parts Barn is on a diet
« on: March 14, 2023, 11:25:33 am »
I have rented a dumpster, and am cleaning out the parts barn. Anything that I figure is really necessary to keep will be placed in a smaller shed on my property. If you want to see what's going out, or even want to help me clean the barn, pleas show up some time this week, or early next week. I get to keep the dumpster 10 days, or they will charge extra.

My friend Janice may be able to drive one of my cars, but she is not normally an early riser, and getting to the staging area by 8 am would definitely be early for her, so we'll see. But she's a good driver, and once owned a Fiero years ago.

In which case, call a tow truck. Always a option. No need to over think it.  ;)
As long as you DON'T call AAA in Georgia. The last 2 times I tried them went like this: First time -- I called at 4 pm. Eventually I managed to fix the car enough to get it home. The tow truck showed up at 10 pm, and of course, I was gone. Second time -- This was for my friend Janice's son-in-law. His jeep had died, and AAA is supposed to let you get a tow for a friend. Hours later we wound up using a non-AAA tow service and I put in to AAA for a refund. Got it 2 months later.
However, the time I needed AAA while in South Carolina, the tow truck was prompt and courteous.

At the last Carlisle show, I won at auction one of those 3D printed console skeleton sets. All the screw holes are in the factory position. I could bring it to the next meeting (assuming I don't get some disease like COVID that would keep me away).

Maybe they noticed that it is a C8 prototype.

General Discussion / Jonathon David Jenkins

In case you don't know who that name belongs to, it's my stepson, my late wife Linda's son. He inherited a condition from his father called Cardio Myopathy. His father died from it when Jonathon was only 12 years old.
Had it been an earlier year, it may have now been time for Jonathon to also fall victim to the disease, but the good Lord had other plans. Last Wednesday he received a heart transplant at the UAB hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. Thanks to modern medical technology and the sacrifice of a family whose loved one perished, Jonathon has a new lease on life.
Jonathon is growing stronger every day. He even joked about going to fire school to be re-certified as a fire fighter (his old job years ago). Please remember him in your prayers as he begins this new phase of his life.

I did find out that if you click on the title, it will download the file then you can open it whether logged in or not.  Something new to me.
Once you download something to your computer, you don't even need to be connected to the internet to use it/view it.
