General Fiero Discussion / Re: My Fiero is even more famous.

Hit my head the first time I tried to sit in an Insight.

BTW, it hit me that that was your voice on there, with your neighbor.  Interesting how people sound.

Actually, I don't sound like that.

Well, darn!

That'll be interesting.

The part about first hybrid in the US didn't sound right, so I looked it up.  GM made the 512 Hybrid in 1968.  That is more than 3 decades prior to the Japanese hybrids.

I saw MikeMac get into his.  He bent way over.

Peppy is not a term I'd use for the Insight, and 52 MPG (certainly typical in a gas-only '86 Chevy Sprint)...never got anywhere close.

Sometimes, I think that the manufacturers design cars for people with a different body layout than I have.

I certainly hope the Insight has more interior space.  Maybe a comparison to the Del Sol.

Off and on, some other people make dew wipes.  Cheaper, not really.  You don't want cheap for those.  TFS' dew wipes were good quality, last round.  I see that they now have a new batch.  Likely the same quality as the last batch.

To turn it into a Formula, it would need a rear sway bar, some decals, a V6 ECU, a V6, AUX gauges, and ...?

Which is exactly what I'm doing with mine. I've already rebuilt and upgraded the suspension and brakes, including springs, struts, bushings, and the sway bar.  (My coupe has essentially the same suspension and brakes as my fastback car.)
Already upgraded the instruments. Have an engine on a dolly in my garage. (If that engine works out, I anticipate having another one for sale. Hint-hint, Larry.)
Don't care anything about decals.

Just don't have the room to work on it, just now. That will hopefully get remedied by fall.

Yeah, can't wait to see the ghost up and running.

I zoomed in on the climate control panel and it appears to have AC.  The non-AC cars only have sliders for temperature control and heat, vent, defrost, etc.

Doesn't mean the AC works.

Having driven both, they are vastly different.  No idea how anyone fits in that Honda.

What is the engine in the red Fiero?

Is Budgetman's Fiero a 3800SC?

That'd be awesome.

I wondered who that was.

Well, the harnesses are 30+ years old.  I found parts of mine were brittle, so cut those pieces out and spliced in new wire.
