Thanks.  We're going to be holding the April meeting here at my house where the Joel 2 is currently stored.  Purpose is to assess and begin restoration, tell some lies, burn some burgers, and have a beer or two if you so desire.  About 15 miles East of Lawrenceville.

After the April 12 meeting, it was pretty much decided that the original Joel Project and the Joel 2 car will be going by the wayside.  Everyone felt that the cars were far beyond what could be quickly, economically and safely be put back on the road.

Thanks to Mike Barr, we have two other vehicles to work with and they will soon be transported to the Atlanta area.  The Joel 2, an 86SE will be parted out with proceeds to be used for the new vehicles.

Yesterday evening, I briefly spoke with John Harbour (johnyrottin) who donated and started the original Joel Project.  It's also agreed that the original car should be parted out for anything that remains, including the good engine, transmission and cradle.  Further details have to be worked out as to how the proceeds will be used.

May 10 is club meeting day.  May 17 is Rerun RFTH 18.  Is April 26th a possibility?

I will be going up with whoever.  Once the 86SE is over to your place, we can pull the tires from it to take along.

Randy & I plan to move the red car from Charlie's tomorrow.

As far as getting the other cars I should be open any weekend except this coming Sunday.

Scott I guess we need to decide if we are traveling this Saturday?

I will need to rent a car carrier and take the wheels off of the Red donor Friday.

Where are the cars going? Both to Charlies?

Scott is Saturday good? Who all wants to ride with Scott or I.?

Seems like a whole day event too right?

IF we know something by tomorrow evening, maybe we won't interrupt any plans Mike may have.
IF we can get Roger's tow dolly, I can tow it over on Friday when I meet Randy to deliver the engine hoist.
IF Scott can acquire that car hauler again, we can bring back one car on it.
IF someone will take the club courtesy car, I can take one of the cars.  Probably the Formula.
IF anyone would like to go along, there should be plenty of room with all the 5 passenger tow vehicles.  Some muscle will be needed to get these non-running cars up on the tow apparatus.

Ron said he could take one of the cars out in Powder Springs.  (I think) Pat said he could take one of the cars.  The GT should be as accessible to everyone as possible since that's the first one we will concentrate our efforts on.

Yes, one of the cars can go to my house in Powder Springs. I will not be there this weekend, however Susan will be home.

U-Haul won't rent anything to you if you're towing it with an Explorer Sport Trac.  I've already tried.  Company Policy.  They don't know why, just Company Policy.  Last time, I had to take the Dakota down to get the dolly, then swapped it over to the Sport Trac when I got home.  When I was finished, I hooked it back to the Dakota and returned it.

I have permission to use the trailer this weekend. I also have an expedition so I can carry 3 car pushers with me. If this is a go this weekend let me know.
