85 se notchie fo' sale
« on: April 19, 2014, 03:33:28 pm »
Packerman and i checked out a lead on a Fiero for sale and thought i would share.  Let me know if any of you are interested.

Sitting one year
Won't move.  Owner said it starts, but won't go.  He had a problem with the torque converter locking up, did a fluid flush, and now it won't move.  The battery was dead when checked it out, so i can't confirm at this time.

Personal observations:
Everything is there.  Needs headliner and seats.  Lots of cleaning. Dew wipes are trash, some ripping in the plastic body panels from who knows what.  Headlights are shorted in up position.

Sounds like the TCC is locked on the transmission.  Unplugging it probably would allow it to be driven.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

That's what i thought too.  But it was already unplugged, and he said that didn't solve the problem, so in my head, i thought, ok....i can change our the third gear switch and tc solenoid, but then he said it won't even move when in gear anymore.  He couldn't find a good battery today, so i guess I'll try it again later with jumper cables....
