Is Mike the brother from Texas?
I have 2 brothers from Texas. Both came.

Good for them.  That's awesome--particularly in light of all the hurricane issues.

They should be able to drive back together, in case...you know.

Texas is so big that they didn't even get any rain from Harvey. They did get higher gas prices, however.

Hey all,

So an update on the crash that was mentioned. It was involving my Fiero. The impact on my car was at an angle to my front driver side, so with the focus of impact being there, it bent the frame. Besides a few bruises and a few glass cuts from climbing over the center console to get out, neither of us were injured.

The other party is doing fine. She was released from the hospital the same day, and is at home and in good spirits.

My thanks to the folks who stuck around till the accident was all cleared up and helped with stashing belongings and offering up transportation throughout the rest of the run. Big thanks to CowsPatoot and FierFly for transportation back home.

I'm making the trip back out there this Saturday to Transport back the remains of the car. I've had more than a few questions about what my future plans are, and I haven't completely decided. Right now I'm leaning away from getting a replacement fun car, and focusing more on longer-term life plans.

As things with the situation are not finalized, and I was open to hearing feedback/opinion/testimony/accusations/support from everyone who was there over the weekend, I'd ask that we don't have any continuing discussion around the accident.

I'm just happy that everyone is doing okay. Paula had a "nice" stripe across her neck from the seatbelt. She looked a bit... uncomfortable.
I hated to continue and leave y'all there, but that is what was requested. It appeared that enough people were sticking around to make sure that everything would be handled, and that nobody suffered any additional unnecessary hardship.
Again... glad everyone is okay. Thanks for the update.

Pull the body panels and the right frame shop can fix that. ThaDriver may be able to help. If I could pull my skin off I think I'd go to a frame shop myself. Some of those Medieval torture devices might be able to get the kinks out of my back.

And ditto on what Raydar said.
You can't fix stupid but, you can adjust it with a 2x4.

Except for some years suffering japanese imports, I've had a fun car (or truck or bike) since college.  I hadn't really thought about it until now.  I got rid of the bike when I found I could no longer ride it (can't take kids on it, couldn't ride it to work anymore).  I got rid of the truck after a wreck.  I got rid of the Mustang after the police wouldn't leave me alone.  I got rid of the Camaro because, after having been stolen and recovered, I didn't want what was left.  I got rid of the Firehawk after a wreck.  Before high school, I had a bike I built, and some other off-road/track vehicles.  Those aren't in order.

I've been having ATV fun while my Fiero is away; now I have nowhere to put the Fiero.

Over the years, I've found lots of different ways to have fun with my family.  Until the Fiero, I hadn't tried to involve other people, but I'm trying to provide the best opportunities possible for my children.  My children are elementary aged.  I figure they should understand about cars.

Yes, all but the gift certificates came from the Lee Charles Estate, courtesy of his daughter Leslie and long time partner Heidi.

Finally, today I got word from the Tshirt printer that he has his printer repaired and has printed and applied the Fiero shield on front of all the shirts.  He has all the images for the back printed and will be transferring them to the shirts tomorrow.

I had been putting the club logo into the design or including the words "Georgia Fieros" when I used the Fiero logo on the front.  In part, it was to entice more people to buy the shirts.  I was hoping that they would identify more with the Fiero logo than displaying a Georgia Fieros logo when they weren't actually a part of the club.  I forgot to include the club logo this year.
