Conrad's going to have fun too (picture of beer mug, can't figure out how to put it in).  I agree with Gary.  Guess I will have to cut down the hanging strips of headliner material I have in the car.  The headliner was fine until I hit the nitrus button going to work the other day (yea, right!).

Hey, smooth brakes, wheels in line, new tires, new clutch, only smokes when you start after sitting a while (valve seals), belt squeal until I re-tighten it, sligh axle seal leak, and manually operated headlights!  Sure is fn to drive.

Re: Seventh Annual Pontiacs in Pigeon Forge

Conrad, most of the cars are real shiny and well detailed.  Lots of them are trailored to and between shows and never hit the road.  Some have had total frame-off restorations.  But not the Fieros.  Every Fiero that I know of that ever entered was driven to and from the show, and also was likely a daily driver no matter what the weather ('cept Jack Cooke :)  )

If there are only a few cars, the Fieros will be in competition with other cars of this nature.  With enough Fieros, we will compete against one another.  It will be difficult to win against Jack Cooke, Ronnie and Don and Dan Bunker.  They have some beauties and they're great people to know and talk with.  But you are welcome to join us, either by entering, or just coming and socializing and giving support.

That's what I'm doing.  I won't be entering one this year, and will be driving one that surely isn't a beauty, but I'm just going for the fun and festivities and to help the others.

Great, that's what I'll do too.  If they give stickers for entering or shirts or some (as in "Kung Pow" momento, I will enter.  I am definately going and, I think I might just enter.  You never know what could happen  with an "unknown."  My wife will drive my 72 Porsche 914 so we can have transportation, if you guys don't mind  a Porscheeeeee driving with us.  By the way, her name is Johnnie.  So list Conrad and Johnnie as going.

    Take care,

Good.  Both of you come on.  The more the merrier.  And By The Way, tell Johnnie to bring a map.  We don't wait on Porsches.     ROFLMAO

Oh, yeah, if you mean you need the extra car for transportation in the evening, after entering your Fiero, you can don't have to leave your car there overnight.  You can drive it around town and then bring it back on Saturday morning.  Most of us spend the day of the show talking to the spectators who come by to reminisce about "Hey, I used to have one of those."

Lol!  I won't tell you, here anyway, what her reply was.  We might just bring the Fiero, then.  If you guys are sitting around, that sounds like fun.  Which motel shall I reserve a room in?  Just wondering what most of you guys are doing.  I know there was a post earlier, but ....................

    Thanks,

Most of us stay at the National Parks Lodge instead of the Music Road Hotel. There's a link earlier in this thread.

Re: Seventh Annual Pontiacs in Pigeon Forge

Well guys , I haven't committed to going to the show because it's just the next weekend after our planned vacation , (and Carolyn's birthday weekend). But , if I can swing it , we'll be there. This is the show me & Jack Cooke met at . We were the only Fieros there for the first time and they didn't know what to do with us. So we competed that year against the sub-compacts and one minivan, LOL. Of course , Jack won that time too. I'm usually sucking hind tit to Jack.

Looks like there will be a good turnout this year , so that should be fun.

Put us down for a tentative (maybe). Ronnie & Carolyn Fulcher

In the event that you aren't on the Georgia Fiero Club's mailing list, the event coordinator, Ron Rizzi is very ill and has had to step out of handling this event for the moment.  I will be the contact person until someone else volunteers to take it over.

I've just contacted the National Parks Lodge for a group discount rate.  I spoke with the Sales Director, and he tells me that the $74 per night rate is the lowest he's allowed to give.  Even at that rate, it's much lower than any other place we've found, with the convenience to the show.  The rate quoted is for a non-smoking room with 2 queen size beds.

Right now, we have about 10-12.

We cannot get a better rate than the $74.00 at the National Parks Lodge.  That's the best the Group Sales Manager was authorized to give.

ETFC, get Vonov and your other members to turn loose of some Abraham Lincolns and come on over and join us.

Re: Seventh Annual Pontiacs in Pigeon Forge

Just for clarity , made my reservation. Rate was 74.95 for a non-smoking kingsize suite room. The cheaper rate of 64.95 is for a smoking/ doggie friendly room (sniff sniff)

Re: Seventh Annual Pontiacs in Pigeon Forge

ronnie,,, you will not get a room that has not been smoked in or dogs been in, they might tell you that its not, but trust me, it has,i hope you didnt plan on getting a room smoke and dog free at the lodge... i dont like it but its true, thats the part about staying at a pet friendly motel i dont like.. nothing against dogs but i dont like staying at pet friendly motels where they have been but its 1 night for me then on to gatlinburg. she also said if for some reasome i did'nt like the room we could change rooms at no extra charge. so i have no problem telling them if it stinks like dogs and cigs... this is the main reason i'd planned on the town house's but they was booked till sunday. i would of paid extra to stay where the dogs and stuff has not been but you know as well as i do if they accept dogs, dogs has been there,  in ever room if the truth was told...i have no problem letting them know what i think about the rooms but she told me to look at the rooms first and decide so i will... tammy will let them know for sureAngry [:@]..lol.lol. she can embarrass me sometimesEmbarrassed [:$], but she will let them know quickly about the rooms, and it wont bother her at allBig Smile [:D]
