    88 SE Coupe For Sale

A neighbor has a very clean 88 SE 2M4 for sale.  It's a white, 5-speed.  There's no body damage and the paint is in pretty good shape, as is the interior.

This afternoon, it developed a coolant leak into the oil.  He said that it didn't run hot.  The car hasn't been driven far, and I advised him to park it.  We don't know if any damage has been done to the engine, but with sludge coming out the PCV and oil filler cap, it may have hurt the motor.  He can't afford to repair or replace the motor.  He is asking $800 for the car.

Email me only if you're interested.

Did you mis-type the year? There were no 88 SE's. How many miles on the car?

It's an 88.  Thought it was an SE, but it's a 2M4 5-speed.  It's a pretty low mileage car.  I think it's well under 100K.  In very good condition, except that it's run hot on him a couple of times and now it's got water in the oil.

I realize that this is an older post, but did the car find a new owner? Thanks Michael

Not yet.  Right now, it's in impound and the owner's in jail.  The car is up for sale.  There is one party that is making arrangements to see the car, but it hasn't been sold yet.  It's in Hammond's Towing off Hwy 8 between Winder and Statham, Ga.

I estimate current impound fees to be somewhere in the $300-350 area at the moment.  It increases by $15 per day.  The owner's mother doesn't have a phone so you'd have to come talk to her personally.  She's willing to sell it for impound + and go to the jail to get her son to sign the title.
