    Gary Got Hurt At Work

Tammy called today and said Gary had an accident at work today. While he was cutting down a tree a limb fell and hit him in the side and broke some ribs and when she called they were running more test. He was having trouble breathing and they were checking for internal bleeding. I'll post more as I find out more.

    Re: Gary's In The Hospital

Even without any broken ribs, Gary needs to lay up for a while.  Never know when something is on the verge of going wrong, especially when being hit that severely.  Lots of things don't show up in X-rays.  I know first hand, and it can be deadly.  Hope he recovers quickly.

That's right, Charlie.  Hope he follows the doctor's orders and recovers quickly.  Internal bruising takes a while and is very painful.

    Thanks for the news, Rob.

Gary got his test results today and they said he has 3 cracked ribs, a bruised spleen, lung, and kidney. They said he'd be out of work for 12 weeks.

    Re: Gary's In The Hospital

Glad to know it's not any worse than it is. Those trees can be unpredictable & therefore very dangerous (as you well knew even before this).
I suggest you pick up some model cars (don't forget the glue & paint) & maybe a video game. Just take it easy & don't rush things, & you'll heal quicker.
