    Ignition Control...

I have a 88 4cyl.  The 87& 88`s have what is called a ignition control module instead of a distributor.  I bought a ignition control module to replace mine because my engine was turning over but no fuel was coming out of the fuel injector and i found out there was no spark from the #1 sparkplug.  Before i put this item on does anyone have any ideas of what else it could be?  Also keep in mind that i just put in a new ignition control module not more than 2yrs ago.  Thank-you.

There's a crank sensor underneath the module. You have to remove the module to replace it so I always replace them as a set. It's kinda hard to get out so try not to break it, or you'll have a time digging it out. It has an o-ring holding it and over the years it gets hard and doesn't want to let go.

Is the crank sensor attached to the back of the module?

I think it is but I'm not positive, been along time since I replaced one.
