Many of you are unaware of the trouble we had getting control of the Georgia Fiero Club website (gafiero.org), and this forum, back in the hands of the club. The website is now in our hands, but before we got it, I set up a second site at
gafieroclub.org.
This forum, however, is another story. While I have admin rights to the forum itself, I do not know how to get into the server that hosts it, and likely will never know.
Because of that, this forum may disappear someday. So I set up a new forum hosted on the gafieroclub.org server. I will be placing links to both forums on the website, but I urge you to sign up on the
new forum.
Now, for those of you who are into the technical stuff of websites, the new website is not quite identical to the old one, in that Server Side Includes are currently not supported. So I used frames instead of SSI to make the website look the same. The host people (Powweb hosting) say they do support SSI, so I have sent a question to their technical folks asking how to enable them.
The new forum uses Simple Machines Forum software, which is very good and very configurable. I think you'll like it once you get used to it.
Thanks,
-- Pat Swayne (Georgia Fiero Club webmaster)
