Jobs in Australia

Since I see Fiero128 is on, how hard is it for immigrants (not me) from Asian countries to get a job there?

I think he's been trying to get out of there to come here. After seeing their spiders and snakes I don't blame him.
You can't fix stupid but, you can adjust it with a 2x4.

I know some people who are going there, expecting to get factory jobs.

I hope fiero128 can come here, but am not sure about a RHD Fiero here.

It would be perfect if he got a job with the post office. ;)

Um, the Fiero can't haul the mail, LOL!

I used to do film delivery in a Mustang.  This worked great.  I sold the Mustang for a Camaro.  No more space.  I quit the delivery job.

I did actually got a job
Repairing ATM machines
The criteria for getting a job is firstly where you live in relation to the job location irregardless of the cost of living locally
Some places require you to live within 30 minutes some places its 60 minutes.
That can be anywhere from 1 mile to 20 miles from a work place
You will always have to have experience in the field they are in.
Money in electronics repairs can be from 40k to 55K a year
55k is very high
Gasoline cost is $1.47 a litre.
desiel cost is $1.22 a litre
These are just averages prices
You cant get a decent house for under $1Mil unless you are 2 to 3 hours from any form of workplace
My weekly fuel bill is about $150AUD
We might be getting a congestion tax for people driving into the city of Sydney, Nothing confirmed yet.
Tvs are between $800 to 30000
Electricity prices are 56 to 59 cents a kilowatt hour, you can expect a electricity bill of $1200 over 3 month
rents can be from $600 to 1500 a week depending on where you want to live
Very heavy restrictions on what you can do with your cars and what cars you are allowed to drive. Your cars have to be as they rolled off the assembly line. All modifications must have an engineering certificate this can cost you at least $600 to 800. Just to allow you can on the road.
Registration fees every year will be 5-600 a year of you can is less that 3years old. over 10 years and you will be paying over $1200 a year.
The Government wants every one to have new cars  due to the stamp duty you will pay on buying a new car. this is 3% of the purchase price. its a once only payment to the government .

I think they're trying to do that to us, here.

Why would anyone put up with those prices?

You will always have to have experience in the field they are in.

Shortly after graduating from high school, I was seeking to change from my first job to a better paying one.  I went to a golf course and applied for a job in the course maintenance department.  The superintendent said I didn't qualify because I didn't have experience.  I asked him how did one get experience if they were never hired for the job.  I got the job.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Then they ask where exactly do i live, i tell them the district  and tbey say it sounds like Newcastle.  Thats a pain in the butt to get to. They wont employ anyone from  there due to its so far away. So now i dont tell them exactly where i live. People  here dont know that GPS devices use google maps and dont know how to ue google maps themselves.
