Bruises

While I was in Texas, there were some interesting opportunities that presented themselves.  Bull riding was one, but they were closed.  Obviously the photo op at TMS, and some other things, including a ring event on Thursday.

At the ring event, 2 contestants are randomly chosen.  Basically, you're told to fight fair, with no throwing or holding.  Only hits to the torso count.  A match is 3 rounds of 10 minutes each.  Most hits wins a round.  First to win 2 rounds wins the match.  I did one match, all 3 rounds.

If I'd have planned on doing this, I'd have eaten the German chocolate cake afterward.  Generally, I fight better on an empty stomach.  Yesterday, I was sore.  Today, I have bruises in unexpected places, like the inside of my right arm.  We had head protection and used gloves, but I was in jeans, so not very flexible.  My left eye hurts, but I think that's a cyst.  My chest feels OK, as of today.
