Well, in 300,000 miles, my '03 Avalanche has never had failures on any of the following things:
Carputer
Backup camera
Parking assist
Driver assist
Lane departure warning
Blind spot detection
Adaptive cruise control
Automatic emergency braking
Exit assist
A plethora of unnecessary cameras and sensors
A plethora of useless air bags
Oh, wait. My truck does not have those items.
My truck has been plagued by issues like needing tires every 60K miles, getting a flat, due to a piece of ceramic tile, having a bulb burn out, needing fuel, needing oil changes, needing brakes, needing a wash, needing a lock lubed, etc.
I think the goal is to make used vehicles so expensive to maintain that people will be forced to keep buying new vehicles. Personally, I think that the people who need a vehicle that thinks for them should be inelligible to vote.
