I'm bugging out
« on: May 06, 2018, 10:41:09 pm »
I've got orders from my employer to move (this time permanently) to the Orlando area. Unless you kick me off, I'm still going to lurk and stir the puddin' in this site.
I've got a couple pallets of stuff that need good homes, as well as 2 other fieros. One 87gt 3800sc and an 88 base coupe almost identical to the old club car, minus a motor, but has a 3.4 to go along with it.
Anybody know of an active club in that area?

My wife won't ride in it. It's "the other woman" ;)

That's sad, but I guess change is the one constant.

Bugging out usually means going out into the bush.  We pack a bug-out-bag:
2 pair socks
1 pair pants
2 pair shirts
1 bar nature soap
50' 30-lb fishing line
1 food storage bag
1 pound salt
1 pack dental floss
20 misc ziploc bags
1 standard issue knife
1 lighter
1 roll duct tape
1 50' rope
1 water filter drink bottle
1 first aid kit
1 sharpening stone
1 hand-crank service radio
3 days' MRE
1 weapon
100 rounds ammo

Paul told me about the move when we had lunch on Friday.  Thought I'd keep quiet and let you break the news.  I am sorry to hear of the move, as it relates to the Fiero Club, but glad for you that you've moved up in the company.

If you aren't familiar with the area, go over to Clearwater/St. Pete and take Gulf Blvd. southward to Indian Rocks Beach.  Large beach, not crowded and very clean beach and water area.

Keep going south down to St. Pete and have a great meal at Bubba Gump's.  You can sit in the restaurant and watch the Dolphins (Not the Miami Dolphins) cavort in the inlet.  And there's Busch Gardens for the kids, but I Likes It, Too.

You know we don't kick people off unless they misbehave.

Well heck!
There are lots of Fieros in Florida. Not sure about Orlando area, but I have to believe that there are many.
I wish you well in your endeavors. Sorry I can't take a car off your hands. I already almost have to stack 'em like cord wood.

I thought Paul said it was to the Tampa area and that stuck in my mind.  Thus the suggestions for the Tampa/Clearwater/St. Petersburg area.  Didn't catch that it was Orlando.

Do a member search on PFF for Dragon.  Frank is or was part of the Space Coast Fiero Club in Orlando.  You may remember him from the Helen event.

You might want to check out Space Coast Fieros' Facebook page.

Maybe just in my head, but I was sure there was a more detailed post by f85gtron.

When does the move actually occur?

Is this imminent, or when it happens?

The 3.4 is supposedly a junkyard pull. It has good compression and already has fiero top end on it. Dizzy setup.

The move is happening in a month, so if you want more junk for your trunk, bring a trailer!
