Are you parting with the exhaust from the converter back?  I could use that.

Already recycled the cat but you are welcome to the rest of the exhaust...

I could sure use a driver’s side drip rail if available. My daughter will be at the meeting Saturday if you have one. Wish I could get up to Atlanta to help with some of the projects but that is just not possible right now. Thanks

Just stripping the engine...the rest of the car, which is in pretty damn good shape structurally and paint wise is getting more or less a full restoration

The Market / stripping my 2.8 for anything valuable for club
« on: March 05, 2022, 02:28:01 pm »
I'm stripping down the 160K mile 2.8 from my 88GT for anything valuable to anyone here / the club.

so far pulled off all accessories and accessory brackets, sensors, TB, and upper and lower intake manifolds... anything else anyone needs? crossover, heat shields, etc???

I'm keeping the cradle for a future swap if necessary.

front exhaust manifold is cracked and several bolts are broken in block.

Still has the original transmission.. it works, doesn't slip, but 'crisp' it is not.....

Of course this comes after Marc and I did ours... Though we didn't have any issues really.

Rodney's rebuild kit seriously made it easy and turned it into a far more robust and higher tolerance shifter which Ronald in the video did 'not' utilize...

Assuming that the warrior car is an 88 id like to buy the coolant tubes if in fair to good condition.  I have to cut and reverse mine to support the 3.6 swap.  Always good to have a set of spares when cutting and rewelding something like these.  If I don't need them after purchase ill hold onto them for club.

How does $30 sound if you come pull them?

sounds like a plan...  I'll join the stripping party... :o

On another note, do you have any of the slide lock fender vents in stock?  if not what's necessary to put in an order?  :)

TopNotch,

Does the 88 parts car you have still have a good title?  What is wrong with it mechanically?  Is that chassis restorable?  I spent a few moments crawling around it pulling the seats for NoMad and was impressed with its shape.

Before we go tearing up that chassis, my daughter is wanting to do a resto and drive a fiero as her 'second' car after a few years of driving my old suv around.  I have lots of parts (interior and engine) coming off my 88GT swap that could be used to bring it back to life.

Let me know your thoughts on this....
To be brought back to life, it would need engine, front bumper and bumper cover, headlight buckets, radiator, seats, instrument cluster, probably a steering column (although the one in might be fixable), various interior parts, wing, tail lights, rear brake calipers, and probably more.

I have most everything it needs oddly enough, except tail lights, "good" calipers, and bumper/cover....hmmm...

Let me ponder it for a few days.

Is the title clean?  What's the history of the car?

That'll work.  Could I paypal you or send you some money in some form to ship it to me?  That's a 1.5-3 hr round trip from Marietta depending on traffic..  Furthermore, I'll be giving it back to you once complete.
