So, let's start all over again.  It's probably too late to move the meeting, so can we do the BBQ run on Sunday February 15?  With people off on Monday for President's day, there would be no real push to get back quickly.

Who's in for Sunday the 15th?  Rain or Shine.

If we can get a group together, I'll skip church.  Today was my first day back in over a month, because of colds and flu circulating among the congregation.

I talked with ScottB last night and he said he's in for the run, too.

I tried to call to verify any hours (since NONE are posted anywhere...not even on yelp), using the 2445#, but no answer. There's ALLOT of recent bad reviews, some of which describe getting sick. I want to check it out, but I'm starting to wonder just how adventurous i really am!

I did some searching and found that, too.  Four in the family all got stick?  I did some more and found these on Trip Advisor.  I also found 161 likes on facebook.

I had talked with them when we started to set this up and they said they were open on weekends, year round.  I called them at
706-456-2445
They are open weekends, but I don't remember their hours.  I can't find any listing of hours but I'm sure they would be open during the mid day hours.

Those reviews are much more promising than the others, but only date to 2011. The less favorable postings are more recent, which leads me to wonder if Heavy died and now his kids are trying to run it?  Just speculation, if course......

How about Greensboro?  Not much further for the Augusta folks.  I remembered a BBQ place in Greensboro, so I looked it up.  Holcombs is right downtown where some of us up here will be coming into Greensboro.  Hwy 278 at the intersection with Hwy 15.  I'll call to see what their hours are.

Sounds good to me, but might have to switch back to Saturday because of bbq joint hours.

I Google mapped it and it's about an hour and a half from Douglasville and Augusta and for those up my way.  A little longer for Scott, by about an hour.  I just called and Holcombs isn't open at the moment.  I'll check again after noon.  If all else fails, there's a McDonalds at I-20 and Hwy 44.  I always got decent food there  :(

There's some great food at the Linger Longer Steakhouse at the Ritz-Carlton in Reynolds Plantation.  I've eaten there a few times, but only as a guest.  I'd never pay those prices from my own pocket.
