Waited about 2 hours and she started right up. Still leaking profusely

Overwhelmed with all the hints and tips I've been getting here in the forum  >:(

replaced alternator this AM, ran for about 15 minutes, now coolant is just pouring out the bottom and she won't start again. I'm about to give up. Anybody interested in her?

Thanks to FieroFool, we got her running again and located the squeel  ;D with his stethoscope, way to go Dr. Charles!
Can't express how much I appreciate it enough.
Swapping alternator in the AM, will update.

OK, so I get fuel past the filter, but the injector will not spray. If I spray starter fluid into the carb, she fires for about 2 seconds.

Anybody have an idea?

Tech Tips, Tech Questions / I desperately need some help – Iron Duke
« on: February 18, 2011, 03:29:47 pm »
I have done some moderate repairs on an 85 Iron Duke....
Last weekend I replaced the water-pump, as I was told that the bearings were shot, so off I went and replaced it
The pump doesn't leak, but I had leaks elsewhere and planned to get around to them this weekend
Today the new water-pump started making the same noise and I could tell the belt was getting hot (it had snapped on me twice before, and that's when the bad water-pump started making sense). So to make sure, I adjusted the tension on the belt via alternator a bit, same noise...and then..........car won't start anymore
Cranks, but nothing else.
I know I'm a layman, but I have some knowledge of basic automechanics, I have sparks/ignition and I get fuel, but she won't fire up.
I'm also smart enough to know how dumb I am, so I need help.

Anyone willing to come out to my place and inspect her? Compensated of course.

HELP!

If you want to come look at them/it, let me know.

I knew the rear side markers don't flash with the turn signal, but the front was starting to drive me crazy. I'll give the ground issue a try during daylight tomorrow, thnx.

Sorry, Fiero terminology isn't my forte.
I assume they are called parking lights; the ones that come on by only pushing the right part of the light switch.
This includes the front right lower light in the fascia and the front right side marker light. They won't come on, but blink when I turn on the directional flasher and even with the hazzards on.

It seems that I have an issue with the front right running lights. All other lights (warning flashers, right turn signals) work. Have all new relays.
Anyone run into this before?

Hey, the new guy here  ;D
I'm still swapping panels from my 86 to my 84. If I don't run into too much trouble anymore, it'll be painted and shiny by parade day. Wish me luck.

Wanted to thank Charlie and Don for their hints and tips and preventing me from making a total fool of myself.

I have a web site that shows the progress I'm making, so feel free to visit here:
