It's a different part number than the one they list for the 84-87, so it may be for the 88.  I wonder why it won't fit the Formula?  I didn't know there was any difference in the formula.

I had thought that all '88 racks were the same.

Comparing the racks, the picture does not show an '88 rack.

Sometimes a parts house will show a generic item in a picture, instead of the actual item for sale.

True.  I have spoken with them twice.  I guess short of driving up there to see the actual product, I don't know.

Since it was so hard for me to source a good rack, I'd like to have a spare.  We won't discuss what happened to my last rack.
