I've been watching it for the past 6 minutes and all I've seen is a ship sitting on the water and a bunch of people milling around.  No fireworks.

Edit to add that I went over to YouTube, found the link and watched it on YouTube.  Sydney has always had a very beautiful and elaborate display of fireworks.

people from all around the world to see the fire works every year.
Some people came from the USA to sit in the heat on the harbor shore to watch
