Original General Lee Destroyed
« on: September 02, 2021, 08:57:22 am »
The John Schneider Studios in Louisiana where the original General Lee was on display and stored was hit hard by Hurricane Ida.  Images show the General Lee crushed in flood debris.

Something that's little known is that he also had a Fiero in his collection.  It was one of his personal cars.  A red Notchback with luggage rack.  I suspect it was also among the casualties as the building looked to be pretty badly flooded.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

What makes it "the original"? Is there any nameplates or tags on it?

The reason I'm asking is the first 5 cars were built in Buford and I believe they were destroyed during filming

I don't know.  That's what the newsfeed said.

Two of his General Lee's were damaged but not destroyed. They were used in the program. There were actually hundreds in the program. He is going the 2 damaged ones repaired.
You can't fix stupid but, you can adjust it with a 2x4.

The original builder told me they ordered 12 chargers, 2 dusters, the F100, and 60 police cars for the first 5 episodes
