Hybrid electric big truck!

I like the idea of this. Diesel-electric has been used for years, but all technological efforts in trucking have gone towards collision avoidance and epa compliance.

I was recently watching a series called "HOW IT'S MADE" about locomotives.  I was surprised to find they are diesel electric.  The engines drive generators for electric motors.  The electric motors are what actually propel the train.
