They won't take them either. I've called a bunch of places, told them I have a shop, I have all the parts cars here, & even offered to give them the VINs. I have 6 or 7 to sell & need the money...

I never drive in heavy traffic & I don't think the fan ever turns on anyway...
Plus I'm going to be selling the Indy too.

What kind of lame brain idea do you have?

I have several rear clips & decklids but none that you wouldn't have to paint. I also have most parts for a fastback conversion. :D
I don't have any taillights. I sold all I had years ago for $20 each. Now I need a left one for the Indy... (but I'm broke).

Got the fan working. Finally found in one of my several books that told me where the fan relay was. Pro tip - it's in the front compartment under the left headlight. Would have been nice to know that when I had the headlight assy. out...
Anyway swapped out the relay from the parts car & viola! Fan now comes on when I turn on the AC. Haven't warmed it up enough to test the temp switch but I'm not worried about that. :)
Thanks everyone for all the help.

Well I mucked with it again today. There are three temp sensors - two on the head & one on the t-stat housing. All of them have two wires to them. Nothing I do with any of them makes the fan run. I did ground the test light & there is no power to either of the fan wires.
I did get the l. headlight to go up & down today by swapping the motor. The motor I put in (off of the parts car) had screws in the housing. I bet you rebuilt that one, didn't you Charlie? :)
Thanks,

Hi Charlie,
I unplugged the fan & used a test light & can't get power to the fan. I was going to cut the plug off of a parts car to test the fan but the only '84 I have here is missing the plug. I did try with the AC on but no change.
So it all runs through the hivac? Guess I need to pull that & see if I can find something there...
Thanks,

OK so I got the Indy put back together. Thanks Charlie for telling me about Todd for a used head after I broke the original one trying to remove a valve seal. :( https://thefierofarm.com/
Now I can't get the radiator fan to run. Swapped relays, checked fuses, jumped the sending unit plug & just can't seem to get power to the fan. Any suggestions?

I've tried everywhere I can find online but no one is buying the cats. One place said they would buy them if I had a receipt for the new one I replaced it with. I have several off of parts cars I need to sell...

The Market / Re: Need a head for '84 Duke
« on: February 08, 2024, 02:23:52 am »
Bump: Desperately need a head for my '84 Duke. I pulled one from a spare '88 engine but the intakes are different, so the heads are different too. Any help/leads would be greatly appreciated.

The Market / Need a head for '84 Duke

Yep, things have gone from bad to worse. Anyone have a good head for the '84 Duke? a bare head would be fine, but it would be nice to have a good complete one.

That might be a fun engine to put in my t-top duke car. But it"s an 88, so I'd have to put it on my 88 cradle.
Should be an easy change. The axles should work; you'd just have to use your '88 hubs. I have someone emailing me about it - first come first served.
Thanks,
Paul
