I just got word that the car is sitting just inside the garage door and isn't blocked in.  Only thing we will need do is to be sure it's got good tires on it and push it up on the tow dolly.

Another text from Gail said that we can get the car this coming Saturday.  Being up there around Noon time will be a good time.  It's about a 3 hour drive, so I'd like to leave no later than 8AM.  Who's going besides Pat?

Yes.  We got here about 8:15.  We went up through Ducktown and Tellico Plains over to Etowah on the way up, but we came back through Benton and over by the Olympic Whitewater Venue on the Ocoee and up to Ducktown.  Made it back without any problems.  Think I'm going to have a bite to eat then going to bed.

Anyone have a spare sunroof glass and latch to donate to the project?  We arrived home without one.  We could use a steering wheel of any style as long as it's good, and a right side power mirror along with the aero rocker panel for the drivers side.

Pictures of the car later this afternoon.

Roger and Pat, you will be glad to know we weren't negligent.  The sunroof glass wasn't in the car when we picked it up.  I've been unable to get a reply from ThaDriver to find out if the original car has one in it that we can use.

Haven't gotten any emails or PMs. It does have the sunroof glass, I didn't pull the tarp off to see if all the latch pieces are there.

Can you use the door locks and the trunk lock out of the old car in that car? And the steering wheel?

I think the steering wheel in it has been replaced with a bad one or it never had a good one.  The door locks are there and I think the door key, as well.  The ignition cylinder will need to be swapped, too.  The one in the 86 is broken.  It will turn on, just the wings on it have been broken off.  The trunk lid will need to be replaced due to the lock being punched out, and the deck lid damaged.  The one we have on the original car is for a fastback so we'll need to find a new one for a notchie with a wing.
