Cheesy.  Live monkeys loose on board would be dangerous.

I think they're missing spiders.  Imagine a random selection of spiders, from some black widows, to some 14" tarantulas, all loose on board.

A thanksgiving greeting from the real space station. There's only 3 people up there now, because the last Soyuz mission to bring more up failed, and the two aboard came down only a few minutes after they went up. They're OK. The first test of an American vehicle to replace the Soyuz (the SpaceX Dragon 2) is scheduled in January.
