Go Back to the home page and look under the "tech tips" tab. There is an article there that will walk you through the procedure for setting the timing. The biggest hint is to use some whiteout on the mark to make much easier to see.

I have seen some variations in this degree plate and they don't always display up to 16 degrees as Roger's illustration shows.  It's difficult to get a full sized pistol grip style timing light in a position that it doesn't obscure your view of the timing marks.  A small round timing light can more easily be guided down near the timing marks, giving you a clearer line of sight from above.

I also noted that the instructions don't tell you that you should also turn off the engine before removing the jumper from the ALDL.  With the amount of detail Roger provided, that was something easily missed.  Don't worry about the timing marks lining up after you've removed the jumper and restarted the engine.  This is the ECM taking control of the timing for optimum performance.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Thanks for catching that Fierofool. I check and recheck my posts so I must have had a senior moment.
I'll edit that when the webmaster allows.
You can't fix stupid but, you can adjust it with a 2x4.

Thanks a lot for the link info.

I will get to it after I get back from Daytona. I was hoping to have the car ready but I still have several things to do but for sure next year I will be able to drive the car.

I hope I get to meet some of the Georgia guys at the show.
