Caffeine and Octane
« on: November 03, 2019, 07:04:05 pm »
Went to C&O this morning for the first time. Saw ONE Fiero, 88 GT. When I get the grinding rotors thing fixed I may drive mine up for the December show. Gotta represent.

Nobody I knew. Said he was affiliated with GA Fiero in the past.

He's usually there every month.  Another former member has talked to him but doesn't associate him with the club in 6-10 years.  He's ignored invitations to come to meetings.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

6-10 years ago, the membership was somewhat different.

Gee you surpassed Fierofool in the number to tweets you have posted.

I went for the first time in October and spoke to the guy. He was friendly but when I asked him if he was a member and he just said no.

I wonder if he follows this site.  Much has changed in the last few years.

Tweets?  Not my thing.  I'm guessing that you mean posts.  I'm not sure if that is a positive or a negative, but have no idea what bearing that has on this thread.  Apparently, that happened some time last night.  I didn't receive any alert when it happened.    :D

I really don't know how to reply.  I'd offer you some posts (maybe the last 3 years' worth of Tuesday posts), but I can't exactly give you any of my posts.  I have been active on this forum, and hope I have contributed.

I think it's relevant.  Means the forum is active.  I'd like to see a whole bunch of people surpass me.

I check the forum every day, and try to post 1 thing every day.  Some days, I have failed.  Loose ends irk me, so I try to close everything off.  If someone is browsing such a thread, I endeavor to close off the thread.  Often, people post questions, but no one replies.  This irks me on other forums, but here, I try to find an answer.  I don't have most of the answers, so I encourage other people to answer.  I have read every post on this forum.  It took months.

Forum activity is great, but I have no club where I live, so I go on the forum.  The club is what is important.

I hate to see a post with no replies, too.  Another thing that bothers me is that someone will come to us for solutions to a problem, get several possibilities then never reply back as to what the fix was, or even a thank you.  I don't mind asking for closure.

Yes, those irk me, but there isn't really a way to get closure on these.

Sometimes, people that are still around have forgotten.

No closure on my grinding rear wheels. The dust shields still rub on the rotors. Still haven't removed my stuck brake caliper bolts, and my struts are still not replaced. On the other hand, my Challenger overheated and the Fiero is not my daily driver until further notice. :)

So, which car is the daily driver?
