The best way to replace the vacuum lines is to purchase Rodney Dickman's stainless steel lines. They are the right size, length and have the correct bends. They're well worth the price as you'll never have to worry about them breaking while you're working on the engine.

Even the field service manual was no help.
When draining, remove all bolts except the center bolt on each end of the pan. Then loosen those two about 3-4 turns each. Be sure you have a big enough catch tray to catch fluid coming out from every edge of the pan, then use a screwdriver to carefully pry the pan loose from the transmission. It takes 4 quarts Dexron II to refill. Afterward drive the car about 15 miles then with it in Park, check the fluid level and add if necessary.
